1. Using World Book Kids; In "World of Animal" I was able to compare two land mammals. This would be helpful to students researching why certain animals are better suited to different areas and climates.
However, I was unable to find how to compare Places. Maybe you can give me a tip as to where to do this .
The "Games and activitie" section really had a lot to offer to students who learn in different ways. I can see how these would help keep a student interested in an assigned topic.
2. Using World Book Student I started by checking out "Biography". I was able to search for authors that were American and from the 1900's. This could definitely be used by the English teachers. I just had to also look at the "Behind the Headlines". An encyclopedia that offers current events...very cool. I really liked "The weekly current events game". This isn't your grandmas encyclopedia!
Hi, Kate, Compare Places is a feature on World Book Kids homepage to the left of Games & Activities. Go in and give it a whirl--it's fun!
